The 2010-11 season is almost upon us! Tryouts will be held starting August 30th. The important details for tryouts are as follows:

•We will have arrangements for transportation to the rink during tryouts.
•You must have full equipment to try out - including a full facemask.
•The fee for the tryout camp will be $80. The early registration fee is $50 if you register before August 15th.

The following dates are important to remember:
•Sun., Aug. 15, 2010: Early tryout registrations due
•Sun., Aug. 29, 2010: Prospective Player Meeting at 7:00 pm at Posvar Hall in the main lobby. Returning players will meet at 7:45 pm.
•Mon. Aug. 30, 2010: Tryout #1 9:00 pm.
•Tue. Aug. 31, 2010: Tryout #2 9:00 pm.

Registration for tryouts is open to any student at the University of Pittsburgh. If you would like to register, please download and complete this registration form, and mail it, along with a check for the appropriate registration fee, to Pitt Hockey General Manager Andy Mecs at 475 Salem Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

We are excited to release our schedules for our D1 & D2 teams. Please note the schedules are subject to change and times will be announced this fall.

The D1 schedule is highlighted by the return of Penn State to the schedule for a series at home on October 1st and 2nd. This is the first game against Penn State since the 2008-09 season. Another exciting game will be the Sunday, October 17th game versus Robert Morris at the brand new Consol Energy Center! Tickets for this event are available - please see the "Tickets" link for more information. In addition to the normal CHMA schedule, we also have a trip to the Philadelphia area planned for the weekend of November 13th and 14th to play Drexel and Lehigh. Prospective players and alumni in the area should plan to attend!

The D2 schedule has also been released. This year features the inaugural season for a new conference, the Tri-State Collegiate Hockey League, as well as a number of new D2 opponents.

We are very excited to formally announce the formation of a brand new ACHA Division 2 league named the Tri-State Collegiate Hockey League (TSCHL).

The 2010-2011 season will be the inaugural campaign for the TSCHL and it will consist of two league games between each of the following member teams:
• University of Akron
• University of Cincinnati
• University of Dayton
• Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)
• University of Toledo
• University of Pittsburgh
• West Virginia University
• Wright State University

The TSCHL Playoff Tournament will be held during the weekend of March 4-6, 2011 in a location that is to be determined. The future league website is www.tschlhockey.com and it will be launched in August.
