Sponsorship Information
The University of Pittsburgh Hockey Team is a non-profit organization run through the University of Pittsburgh’s Student Organization Resource Center (SORC). The team has just completed its seventh season in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), the nationwide non-varsity collegiate hockey league. Hockey powers such as Penn State University, Ohio State, Kent State, University of Michigan, and Miami of Ohio all field teams in the ACHA.
The University of Pittsburgh Hockey Team is a registered organization and is supported through student activity funds as allocated by the Student Government Board. Due to the allocation of funds at the University, the Ice Hockey Team must raise approximately $56,000 of its $83,000 budget. These funds are used to pay for equipment, uniforms, ice time, referees, athletic trainers, and travel expenses.
To help raise funds, the hockey team is now selling ads for its annual media guide. We also offer several sponsorship packages ranging from banners hanging at our home ice rink to giveaways at home games.
